About South Valley Clinic in Highton, Geelong
Geelong physiotherapist David Upfill took over South Valley Clinic in 1994 after finding he lacked the ability to really invest in patients under the time constraints of working in other private practices. David felt by changing the way his own practice operated, by spending more time with patients, he could offer a service that better supported both patients and practitioners. More than 20 years later he is still here and South Valley Clinic is regarded as one of the leading allied health clinics in Geelong, with physiotherapy, podiatry, myotherapy and massage therapy services in Highton, Geelong.
“My interest in establishing my own practice was simply to be able to change the way I worked in a manner that better supported both clients and practitioners.”
The mantra of the practitioners in our Highton clinic, is that people come first. To us, establishing a connection, understanding and trust with each of our patients is vital to achieving results. Through establishing a meaningful connection with every patient we gain a greater understanding of their concerns and needs, helping to develop a relationship of trust. Trust supports the healing process.
“South Valley Clinic has always been about people first. We care about people deeply and are genuinely committed to improving their wellbeing in whatever way is important to them.”
Having a multi-disciplinary clinic allows our practitioners to share information and refer patients within our own practice when necessary. For example, physiotherapists in our Highton clinic can refer you to our podiatrists if you have a foot issue, or book you in for massage therapy or to see our myotherapist if you require further soft tissue treatment.
Our team constantly reflect on our work and things we can do better. At South Valley Clinic we’re committed to expanding and improving upon the services our Highton podiatrists, physiotherapists, myotherapists, and massage therapists can offer. In addition, we hope to expand our practice with the addition of other complimentary allied health services, such as nutrition, exercise physiology and osteopathy.
To make a booking or to find out more about our clinic and how we can help you, please call our Highton clinic. You will see why we have such a strong relationship with patients and why many travel from across Geelong and Waurn Ponds to see our practitioners.
